Congratulations to Salvatore Morina (Uncle Sub) who was elected
as the Carmel S. Morina Lodge "Man of the Year 2008." Brother
Morina is a cornerstone of our Lodge. He was the person mainly
responsible for the purchase of our Lodge building and necessary
items. Simply put, without "Uncle Sub" there would probably be no
Carmel S. Morina Lodge building. We owe him more than we could
ever re-pay.
"Uncle Sub" attempted to turn down the nomination and award, but
was forced into acceptance only after extremely pressure by our
members. This was just another demonstration of his humbleness
and dedication to our membership and cultural activities.
Now if he would only allow us to take his picture for this entry, but
again he is extremely humble. I guess we'll have to get that picture
on the sneak.
